Celebrate Earth Day, Everyday
with ReChargX Toner Refills

Our goal when we started in the toner cartridge remanufacturing industry over 26 years ago was to save people money while protecting the environment (and, to create a growing business for ourselves). Thanks to your belief in our 100% guaranteed products, your patronage has made a huge difference, keeping nearly 2 million pounds of trash out of the landfills and saving over 1,180,000 quarts of oil. How much oil does it take to produce a new toner cartridge? It takes more than 2 quarts of oil.

As we move closer to Earth Day 2008, we thank you and planet Earth thanks you, for making the environment cleaner by refilling your own toner cartridges with ReChargX®.

No Landfill When You Refill

In honor of Earth Day, we will donate a percentage of Earth Day week's sales to the Nature Conservancy and the Wildlife Federation. Please tell your friends and colleagues about our fantastic, 100% guaranteed, money-saving (and environment saving) ReChargX Premium Print refill products.

Fun “Earth Day” Toner Facts to
Wow Your Friends, Family, and Co-workers

Did you know that every toner cartridge refilled with a ReChargX Premium Print toner refill kit:

  • Saves over 2 quarts of oil
  • Keeps more than 3 pounds of waste out of ever-shrinking landfills
  • Keeps an average of $50 - $150 in your wallet
    (the best kind of conservation)

The picture at the left is of the Sears Tower in Chicago - one of the world's tallest buildings at 1,454 feet. If every one of the 110 million toner cartridges intentionally thrown into our dumps in 2003 were packed into a giant cube, that tower of trash would be taller than the Sears Tower.

Even more amazing, that tower of wasted cash would represent more than $15 billion dollars thrown into our dumps. The original $150 million cost to build the Sears Tower is only 1/10th of what is spent on toner cartridges annually.

Consider this: A one dollar bill is exactly 2.61” X 6.14” x 0.0043” thick which means the stack of trash cash made up of 15 billion one dollar bills would be 5,375,000 feet tall (a pile of cash over 1,017 miles high).

One last amazing toner fact: Every one of the 25,000 people who enter the Sears Tower every business day would have to bring 17 toner cartridges with them every day of the year to equal the 110 million number of cartridges thrown into landfills every year.

Recharge, recycle, and reduce. It's one great way to help save the environment and save money too.

ReChargX Tips to Help You Save More

Give Your Printer Some Space, Man (or Ma’am)...

Laser printers, plain paper fax, copier, or multi-purpose machines employ considerable heat to fuse the toner to the paper. Make sure there is at least 6” of clearance on all sides of your machine to keep the air flowing and to prevent heat build up.

“It’s your density….”

Experiment with the density control on your machine (or darkness settings in the printer driver). Make the setting as light as possible, while still getting good quality print. If you use a “high” setting, you may be wasting toner (and money) putting more toner on the page than you need. Make small changes and print a few pages to see the results. Too low a setting will cause the printing to look faded or light. You be the judge.

Use Paper Designed for Laser Machines

Choose the right paper for your machine to minimize the release of tiny particles of paper that may become a problem for your printer (“rag” or rough finish paper will allow more toner to escape into the machine, necessitating more frequent cleanings and possibly leaving print defects on the page, another waste of toner, paper and money). Paper made specifically to be used in a laser printer or plain paper copier is your best choice.

Print Using “Draft” Mode Whenever Possible

If you’re proofreading a document, printing emails or doing anything that doesn’t require the best quality use the “draft” or "econo" mode to save toner. You’ll find the setting under “properties” for your specific printer. Be sure to turn it back to the normal setting when you are ready to print a higher quality, final document.
